I got a mail, a little more than a week ago, with some
very cool feedback on the lyrics. What surprised me was
part that she said it sounded a bit country-ish,
which just seemed funny to me, because, as far as I know,
I've never really done anything country-oriented.
What really blew me off my feet though, was when she asked me
to come over for a month or so, so we could meet up
and do some sessions. Well, first, I know I've been speaking
to her sporadically before, so that was out of action,
but still, I mean, I haven't been outside Scandinavia
in my whole life, only abroad visits have been Sweden
and a week in Norway 11 years ago.
And as mentioned, I had far from enough money to go there.
Of course I might have overdone it a bit when doing the calculation,
counting a month on the Best Western located near Music Row
and such. But still, only the flight would have set me back
at least 2000 euros. Plus rental car, food and such.
SO I had to say no.
To be honest, it was probably the hardest, most painful
decision I've made throughout all these years, but hey,
it's hard to spend money when you're studying
and refusing to take loans.
Anyway, I guess I'd have a few "pinch me in the arm"-
kind of moments if it had been coming true.
Nevertheless, it was, and is, something
that will be ranked high in my book.
vetcha he.. ta bort om du vill :)
