1996 - A year in between

After the crazy year that passed, I guess I had stepped up the stakes.
Maybe a bit too much, I don't know. Anyway, this was the year that actually
would put some sort of hiatus to my songwriting.
I had been listening to music more than usually.
Maybe having MTV on in the mornings before going to school,
as well as in the afternoons between coming home from school
and starting on homework might have been a reason.

Either way, it became some sort of vacation.
Time for thoughts if you want.
Also started rediscovering old music.
or. not that old. We're talking 80's here.
As always, it was the ballads that got me hooked.
Or it might have been the fact that I went to that
"summer place" for the last summer in my life.
Check out 1994 for more details about that one.

I had thoughts about making a cover project and yeah,
it even got a title and a place in the list of projects
I've done throughout the years. Even though it stopped
at just making a tracklist, I'm far from disappointed.
It was a little bit of everything in there.

As a matter of fact, I might just post the tracklist
at the end of this note. The title of the whole thing
was just as simple as describing, I guess.
As you might see, the first track is Nazareth's classic anthem
"Love Hurts", and so the title of the package was twisted into
"Love Ballads".

I guess there's not much more to say about that,
than to leave you with the tracklist of the project
that never became anything, but yet still became something.
At least I had a blast choosing out the tracks, and I must say,
I'm really pleased with the result.
